Panini is working on a The Legend of Zelda card collection. It is called The Legend of Zelda: Master Collection, it marks the series' 40th anniversary and it comes with its own album. What it does not have yet is a release date: neither Nintendo nor Panini has given one, and as of mid-October the only window around is a retailer listing pointing at the last quarter of 2026.
What was announced
The collection showed up on 8 September in the Zelda 40th anniversary Nintendo Direct, but only in the UK and European broadcasts; it was missing from the North American and Japanese ones. Panini UK & Ireland confirmed it the same day and promised more details. Nintendo Life and Resell Calendar broke down what the teaser showed:
- A booster box with a pale map of Hyrule and a rupee in the middle, carrying a Trading Card Collection badge.
- Single packs, with no word yet on how many cards each one holds.
- A black album with an elastic strap, built to hold the full set.
- Art from across the series: Skyward Sword Zelda, Link using Ultrahand in Tears of the Kingdom, an A Link to the Past scene and young Link and Zelda from Ocarina of Time.
This is a collectible set, not a card game: no rules, no decks. Think of a classic Panini sticker album, with cards instead of stickers.
Release date, price and regions
There is no official date. The Collector Nation points to an Australian retailer listing that places it in Q4 2026, with a booster box at A$119.99, and other outlets mention November for Europe. Those figures come from shops, not Panini, so treat them as a guide.
On availability: the reveal was European and Panini distributes its collections across the continent, so a European release is the safe bet. A US or Latin American release is far less certain.
This is not Zelda's first official card set: Enterplay made a short run in 2016, and according to Resell Calendar sealed boxes now sell for over $1,000. If the Master Collection stays in Europe, something similar could happen elsewhere.
What it means for collectors
If you plan to complete it, you will want to know which cards you have, which you are missing and which doubles you can trade. That is how the Panini sticker albums already work on TCGJoin: mark what you own and the album shows the gaps. Once Panini publishes the card list we will add it there, so you can track the Zelda set from your first pack. Meanwhile, keep the rest of your collection up to date.
