Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek keeps its dates: prerelease on November 6 and tabletop release on November 13, 2026. What is not guaranteed is that everything arrives together. On October 16, Wizards of the Coast posted a delay notice on its official site, citing production and shipping issues, and Europe has the longest list of affected products of any region.
What may arrive late in Europe
Good news first: Play Boosters and Prerelease Packs are on schedule, so the November 6 events and the packs on the 13th are safe. Everything else carries an asterisk in Europe, the Middle East and Africa:
- Collector Boosters in English, French and German: may arrive after November 13.
- English Commander decks, Draft Night, Scene Boxes and Beam Me Up Bundles: may also arrive after the 13th.
- French and German Commander decks: may arrive after prerelease.
- Collector’s Edition Commander decks: first units after prerelease, with more after release.
The notice does not mention Spanish or Italian and gives no new dates: Wizards says the situation is fluid, that it will update the same page and that players should check with their local store. North America only sees delayed Commander decks; Asia-Pacific has delays on Collector Boosters, Omega Collector Boosters, Bundles and Draft Night. It is not the first supply problem for this set: on September 21 Wizards cancelled the Beginner Box for similar reasons.
Card previews start on October 20
Wizards has also scheduled the official debut for October 20 on its YouTube channel and Twitch, followed by the WeeklyMTG aftershow. From October 21 to 29 previews are spread across creators and outlets, the four Commander decks (We Are the Borg, Federation Fleet, Klingon Fury and Landing Party) are shown from the 26th to the 29th, and the full card image gallery goes live on October 30. A few cards, such as the mythic Captain James T. Kirk on our cover, can already be seen on Scryfall.
What it means for collectors
If you pre-ordered a Collector Booster box or a Commander deck, ask your store now whether it expects stock on the 13th or later: Wizards is not promising a fallback date. If you are going to prerelease, relax, those kits are arriving. The first days of a Collector delay usually bring inflated prices on Booster Fun cards; waiting until the rest of the product lands tends to be cheaper. Save the dates in the release calendar, browse the full card list and prices for every Magic set and, once you open your packs, log your pulls in your collection.
Wizards will update the delay notice as dates firm up. If anything changes for Europe, we will cover it here.
