Best apps to scan and value Pokémon cards (2026)
Collectr, TCGplayer, Dragon Shield, PokeScope, Rare Candy, CardNexus and TCGJoin look alike at first: point the camera at a card and they tell you what it is worth. The difference is where that price comes from, which currency and language you get it in, and what it costs.
The seven apps, side by side

One row per app. “Not confirmed” means its official listing does not say, not that it cannot do it.
Languages: as declared in the App Store “Languages” field. Collectr lists English only, although its release notes announce French, Spanish and Japanese.
| App | Best at | Currency (source) | Languages | Price | Platforms | CSV |

| TCGplayer | Prices from the biggest US marketplace and instant buying; completely free | USD (TCGplayer) | 1 | Free | Web, Android, iPhone | Exports lists as CSV |

Which app to pick for what you need
You buy and sell in the United States: TCGplayer. It is its own marketplace, prices are in US dollars and the app is free.
You collect everything, sealed and graded too: Collectr. The most complete portfolio, with 20+ games.
You want TCGplayer and Cardmarket prices together and a deck builder: Dragon Shield.
Pokémon only, and you want graded values: PokeScope or Rare Candy. Rare Candy scans for free with no cap.
You buy and sell in Europe with low fees: CardNexus, which also works in euros, pounds and other currencies.
You play and collect in Europe and want the app in your language: TCGJoin. Cardmarket prices in euros, each card’s name and artwork in your language, and a free collection.
Why the price source matters
A card is not worth the same in the US as in Europe. TCGplayer and Rare Candy show US-market prices in dollars; Collectr and PokeScope lean on sales such as eBay’s. If you buy singles in Europe, the price that matters is Cardmarket’s.
TCGJoin shows the Cardmarket price in euros and, when a card has none, the TCGplayer price converted at the ECB rate, always flagged. See it card by card in Pokémon card prices.
What TCGJoin does differently
The whole app in 10 languages, and every card with its name and artwork in yours: Charizard, Dracaufeu or Glurak, depending on how you read it.
Free scanner and collection, no card needed. The Rare plan, from €3.99 a month, adds every game at once and the value chart.
Bring your collection from Collectr, TCGplayer, Dragon Shield, ManaBox or any CSV in a minute: import your collection.
Sealed-product stock in nearby stores and an AI deck coach.
What it does not do: it is not a marketplace like TCGplayer or CardNexus, and on iPhone it runs in the browser for now, not from the App Store.
How we compared
TCGJoin is our app, so we are not neutral. That is why every fact about the others comes from their Google Play listing, App Store listing or official website, checked on the date above, and linked at the bottom. If something has changed, tell us and we will fix it.
